ABOUT SEMINOLE POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Seminole Police Department is the Primary Law Enforcement Organization for all Seminole Tribe of Florida Trust Private Properties. SPD is comprised of dedicated men and women, which includes sworn, civilian, and part-time staff. All Police Officers are Florida State Certified and meet the requirements stipulated by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. The Seminole Police Department has law enforcement jurisdiction over seven Reservations: Hollywood (Broward County), Big Cypress (Broward and Hendry County), Immokalee (Collier County), Brighton (Glades County), Fort Pierce (St. Lucie County), Tampa (Hillsborough County) and Coconut Creek (Broward County). Seminole Police Department is divided into two Bureaus: Operations Bureau and Support Services Bureau. The Operations Division consists of a Patrol Division throughout all seven locations. The Support Services Bureau consists of the Professional Standards and Training Division, Logistics, Human Resources, Records, Budget, Criminal and the Investigations Division which consist of the Criminal Investigations Unit, Threat Response Unit (TRU) , Youth Services Unit, and Property and Evidence Unit.
The Seminole Police Department is a full service professional police organization that operates twenty four hours a day on all seven reservations proudly serving the Seminole Tribe of Florida membership. The organization enforces Federal, State and Tribal laws and investigates all criminal activity within the boundaries of all Seminole Tribe of Florida Trust Private Property.
